The ES-H-1004 is an industrial grade USB to 4-port RS232 converter housed inside a mountable metal enclosure ideal for use in industrial or factory environments.  The unit is self-powered over USB, with no need for an external power supply and has TX/RX traffic indicator LEDs for each port.  

The ES-H-1004 supports full RS-232 modem and control signals ((TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DSR, DTR, DCD, RI, and GND) on each of the DB9 male connectors.  Each port also supports internal 256 byte transmit and 128 byte receive buffers supporting RS-232 operation at up to 921.6kBaud.

Standard USB 0.9m cable is supplied with the unit. Longer USB cables can be purchased separately if required.  The unit also comes complete with drivers for Microsoft Windows '98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. The Windows XP drivers are fully WHQL certified. Also included are drivers for Apple OS8, OS9 and OSX. Linux kernel 2.4.20 or greater includes also USB drivers for this product.
