ES-U-1002-A can plug directly into a unused USB port using it's inbuilt USB "A" plug where space permits. A short 25cm detachable USB extension cable allows the ES-U-1002-A to be used where connector spacing does not allow the ES-U-1002-A to be inserted directly. 

ES-U-1002-A features a full set of RS-232 modem data and control signals (TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DSR, DTR, DCD, RI, and GND) on it's PC compatible DB9 male connectors and has an internal 128 byte transmit buffer FIFO and a 384 byte receive buffer FIFO on each of its 2 RS232 Ports. Each port supports RS232 data transfer rates of up to 230K bps. No external power supply is required as ES-U-1002-A takes it's power from the USB bus.

ES-U-1002-A comes complete with drivers for Microsoft Windows '98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. The Windows XP drivers are fully WHQL certified. Also included are drivers for Apple OS8, OS9 and OSX. Linux kernel 2.4.20 or greater includes also USB drivers for this product.

The PS40M10 Swordfish is a unique hand held device that combines the functions of Oscilloscope, Data Logger, Spectrum Analyser, Volt Meter and Frequency Meter in a single instrument. Swordfish features a user replaceable precision spring loaded probe tip which can be used to probe even small smd components. The probe tip and cover can be removed, revealing a standard phono ( RCA ) socket. A phono to BNC adapter ( supplied ) allows Swordfish to connect to standard oscilloscope probes or BNC cables if required. Powered from USB, Swordfish needs no external power supply. Swordfish features a 10-bit ADC with a true sampling rate of up to 40M Samples /sec and sophisticated hardware triggering. The over-sampling feature of the EasyScope II software allows repetitive waveforms to be viewed at an effective resolution of up to 1nS ( == 1G Samples / sec ). Swordfish comes complete with EasyScope II ( oscilloscope ) and EasyLogger ( data logging ) software.
The supplied Windows DLL's allows 3rd party applications to easily interface to Swordfish. Example code in several popular programming languages including LabView are provided. Windows CE and Linux drivers are also available on request for bona-fide 3rd party developers.
